Exploring Options After Deciding on a Horse Cremation

Deciding between a horse cremation or a burial is a personal decision, but it is a good idea to explore all of your options before you decide which is best for you. In fact, you may be surprised to learn that there are actually quite a few options that you can explore when you choose to cremate your horse. Here are just a few of the options to consider:

  • Purchase a decorative box for the ashes that can be placed somewhere in your home, barn or other meaningful location.
  • Place the ashes in a keepsake item created specifically to hold a small amount of ashes, such as a pendant for a bracelet or necklace.
  • Transform the ashes into a crystal that can be put into a pendant or a ring. The final color of the crystal will depend upon the elements contained in the ashes when making the crystal.
  • Change the ashes to a diamond that can be put into a pendant or ring. Since bodies are made of carbon, the ashes can actually be used to create a diamond. This is a very expensive option, however, with a .25 carat typically costing a few thousand dollars. Color choices typically include blue, green, red, white and yellow.
